Doesn’t mix well
2I bought this as a dairy free option but unfortunately it doesn’t mix well at all, and the taste isn’t great either. Going to have to down it quickly and avoid the horrible foam on top. I wouldn’t recommend this protein, which is unfortunate as normally Myprotein products are really good and I always use them.

Beef protein
1Terrible taste. I have used other company beef protein and was ok. This one is just not possible to drink.

Not for everyone
2Firstly, check the nutritional value properly as I though this was 97% protein content but this only applies to unflavoured protein. It has terrible taste. It doesn't mix very well. I use electric blender now and is better but foams a lot. In my opinion it is a bad protein as gives me stomach crumps and then after digestion I'm in the toilet. I can't really rate this product well and it is very disappointing. I had tried other beef protein in the past from other brands and apart from characteristic taste it was ok, otherwise said no toilet issue, but that's not the case with this one. It's a shame as I rate Myprotein and most of their products were good.Goes Well With:Bin

mixed feelings, ya.
3so if there was a “fermented chocolate” taste - THIS WOULD BE IT! I wouldn’t say it has a “beefy” taste, but definitely not very chocolatey… and I tried water & milk! you must mix it - it mixes well, but YES - it foams like MENTAL! so, I shake it BEFORE my workout, come after an hour of workout and the foam settles. lets face it! it was cheap - don’t expect too much. I’m on a serious budget, so I just swallow it…

Better than expected
5After reading some reviews I was afraid that I'm not gonna like it but was positively surprised. I mixed with water to get the exact flavour and yes you can slightly but really just a bit taste beef but its nice chocolaty flavour that will go well with oats or what ever you want. It foams a bit more than whey although mixed fine with no bits after 45-60 sec. of vigorous shaking ;) Would deffienietly recommend. Overall good product.

Not half bad, don't be put off by reviews.
5So I was looking for a hydrolysed protein after reading about their added efficiency/uptake. I already have way too much dairy in my diet so it was a toss up between this and one of the vegan protein blends. After a little googling, what sold this to me was 1) The fact its hydrolysed, making it the fastest absorbing and most 'bio-available' option and 2) It's a pretty mighty 22g of protein in a 25g serving! This makes it around the best value for money per serving given its quality. Now. The taste. I don't really know what you should expect when the product you are buying is essentially squished cow. Is it going to taste like a Magnum ice cream (other products available), well...no. I opted for a countertop blender after reading about mixing issues. So for me there was no mixing issue. Smell. It smells good! I got the chocolate flavour, which delivers a slightly artificial/caramel note. No scent of any bovine. Taste. I must confess I was bracing myself for a bout of heaves. But, I accepted I had bought it as an informed consumer and would take the good with the bad. Nothing. If anything a little too sweet for my personal liking, but not sickly. Really smooth. A lot less 'thick' than you might be used to. There's certainly a very slight savoury top note. I sound like I am talking about wine. Is it a little different from the normal shakes? Yes. But if 100 is the high water mark for the best protein supplement I have ever tasted, this scores a pretty respectable 84. B+. No horrid aftertaste. Again, just a bit of a sense like you ate a slice of bread, rather than a bite of chocolate. So don't read too much into the other reviews on taste. Be ready to mix it with a hand blender and accept it has a bit of an unusual journey. But for hydrolised protein, you really aren't going to get a lot better.

Good quality
5I truly don't know so many people are complaining from this product. Everyone should do their research before ordering. I've been using beef protein for over 3 years from different brands. It doesn't matter how premium the brand is - the mixability is always difficult , you people need to read about it !!!! the consistency compared to whey protein is different, almost impossible to mix it with a normal shaker, the blender does excellent job. It's a low sugar and fat , read the nutritional facts of the product, that's why you can't expect amazing chocolate flavour, just add 50ml almond or coconut milk, it works great. Perfect for everyone who is looking for alternative to whey, or simply if you want to stay away from dairy products. Naturally high in amino acids, creatine. Plus with all the current sales, you can't beat the price.Goes Well With:Almond or Coconut Milk

You get used to the taste!
5When I first tried this protein, I thought this really doesn't taste good. But it really does grow on you. I would recommend mixing in a blender and then putting it into your shake bottle because otherwise the protein and water really doesn't mix well. That said, once it has been mixed it the consistency is good and goes down well. All in all good product and you get a lot for what you pay for. Will definitely be buying again. Goes Well With:Water
