Pea protein
5This is the first time Ive tried pea protein. I liked it very much, it combines well with flavoured impact whey and is also nice on its own.

My best ReciPEAs
5I can finally drink this for breakfast without pulling a lemon face. Morning coffee breakfast shake - gets you going - good pre workout too! 1 scoop pea protein 1 cup Almond milk (aldi) 2+ tbsp of xylitol (sweetener-BUT is good for your teeth - recommended by dentists- FACT) 1 tspn Vanilla essence (aldi) 1 tblspn flaxseed oil (trust me) COFFEE - properly filtered espresso is the best but instant coffee works well too-(aldi) Cacao powder - aldi - I use Raw cacao which is from Amazon (better nutrients topped up with Water - mix in blender (I have a nutrininja). NUTELLA SHAKE: 1 scoop pea protein 2 cups Almond milk (aldi) 3+ tbsp of xylitol 1 tspn Vanilla essence (aldi) 1 tblspn flaxseed oil (trust me) 30g (small handful) ROASTED hazelnuts-(aldi) Cacao powder - aldi topped up with Water - mix in blender (I have a nutrininja). DISCLAIMER: I don't work for aldi I just shop there because gainz are expensive. Goes Well With:Almond milk (aldi) xylitol Vanilla essence (aldi) flaxseed oil (trust me) ROASTED hazelnuts-(aldi) Cacao powder - aldi CoFFEE

it's OK!
5Mix this with water not animal / soy / almond milk. Let it settle and absorb the water. Possibly add a spoon of coffee and even sugar / a sweeter if you (still) have a sweet tooth - and it's a good drink. Take a dry dab on the end of your finger and it tastes like cardboard!

Un-usable
1It's like drinking mud. I've tried cooking with it, mixing it was milk, with water, with chocolate powder (as i used to do with whey) but nothing takes away that gritty taste. That's until somebody suggested using bananas. I tried mixing it in and for the first gulp i thought this is amazing. Second gulp...not so much. It's an unrelenting flavour that unless you like that kind of taste... avoid.Goes Well With:Refunds? (Hint hint)

Smells Like a Pet Shop
5Stumbled upon this after realising that whey protein was giving me eczema. Since swapping, my skin has cleared up completely and despite the terrible smell and texture, I'm quite pleased with the pea protein. I don't feel like it's done my gains any harm at all.Goes Well With:Water and FlavDrops.

It's the taste that doesn't matter
5I tried it plain when it first arrived. Just the powder and some water. I still regret it... But I didn't buy it for the taste, so I'm still giving it 5 stars overall. I got recently diagnosed with intolerance for dairy and egg whites, so I needed something to help me with the sudden drop in my protein intake. I also actually wanted something that I can combine with different smoothies and gruel and other recipes, without having to taste the weird flavoring that all protein powders have. It mixes well, and it doesn't have the rough sand-like consistency that rice protein tends to have. I mixed it with my morning coffee this morning, and there's a slight aftertaste, but it's quite mild, and it doesn't leave that fake chocolate/fruit/whatever-it's-supposed-to-be flavor in my mouth for hours.Goes Well With:Anything, just don't drink it plain!

Not bad
4I use this now instead of Whey Isolate, as I am cutting out diary. *Vegan vibes here* I have only used it in pancakes and smoothie bowls, with lots of other flavours. It smells weird and I know I would not like to drink it with only water. It is a good product, very high in protein and a great addition to pancakes, smoothies and smoothie bowls. It does not ruin the taste of the pancakes/smoothies at all.Goes Well With:(In) Pancakes, smoothies, smoothie bowls

It tastes bland - so what
5If you want it as a drink with water - well, yes it tastes bland - but so what - just shake it and neck it. Goes Well With:flaxeed powder, cacao powder, ground chia

Used to hate it but now...
5I left a one star review before because I couldn't stand the taste. I since started taking it by mixing up a pint of LIdl's concentrated blackcurrant & apple cordial (sugar free) and pouring most of that on top of a a scoop full of the powder in my mixing bottle. It's not actually pleasant, but it's not undrinkable. I just neck it down and I'm making gains so yeah = it does the job. If you want a nice drink try something else. If you want a cheap, vegan protein supplement this'll do.Goes Well With:Sugar free Blackcurrant & Apple squash.
